Two weekends ago we went to Taipei to visit the Chen family. We had a great time!
This isVanessa and Tootsie, she's in her Rudolph outfit at the ward Christmas party.
This is how Jay makes her laugh. We ate at Chili's YUM!
A family from David's mission.
Another family from David's mission. David baptized this boy. The girl hasn't been baptized yet their father doesn't want her to.
Isn't this hat to die for? She's so adorable.
It was so windy.
Jay took us to Yang Ming Mountain. There is a supposedly an inactive volcano there. When we got there it was smoking and it smelled of sulfur so bad, I don't think its inactive. I think it is just sleeping and ready to erupt any moment. It was really interesting to see. I think it is also scary. After this and the earth quakes I told Jay he needs to move to Utah!
This is a puddle about two hundred feet from the volcano. Its boiling.

聖誕節快樂
This year has been one filled with adventure for David and Amy. In March they had an interview to be English teachers in Gaoxiong Taiwan. They got the job and prepared to begin their journey to this far off land. They left July 2nd 2006.
During their time in Taiwan they have been able to meet many friends and do many amazing things. They have also had the opportunity to travel to Macau and Thailand, and will be going to Hong Kong at the end of December.
David and Amy also serve in their callings in the church David as a young men’s teacher and Amy in the Nursery. David and Amy have enjoyed teaching English. They feel they have been truly blessed to have had this experience. They will be returning to their home in Utah at the end of January 2007.
Merry Christmas Love, David & Amy Merrell December 2006
