Our Adventure to Taiwan: December 2006

David's hair is getting long. It looks pretty handsome when it is done!!! He is competing with his brother Craig. He wants to see who's is longer by the time we get home from Taiwan.

聖誕節快樂

This year has been one filled with adventure for David and Amy. In March they had an interview to be English teachers in Gaoxiong Taiwan. They got the job and prepared to begin their journey to this far off land. They left July 2nd 2006.

During their time in Taiwan they have been able to meet many friends and do many amazing things. They have also had the opportunity to travel to Macau and Thailand, and will be going to Hong Kong at the end of December.

David and Amy also serve in their callings in the church David as a young men’s teacher and Amy in the Nursery. David and Amy have enjoyed teaching English. They feel they have been truly blessed to have had this experience. They will be returning to their home in Utah at the end of January 2007.

This is the Nativity Mom Merrell sent me for my Birthday. Its so darling. I love it. Our home here is so bare its fun to have something to put up!

It's my Birthday!!! We had a little party at the cram school. It was so fun the kids were so happy. David took me to TGI Fridaysfor dinner! Yum Yum

These are the Christmas decorations Mom Merrell sent to us. I was so excited to have a little bit of Christmas decor. It was so fun to put up. We loved all the stars with the comments on them.

I had a birthday party, the night of the 5th. Our adult class came and celebrated. Jacky's birthday was on the 4th so we just had a big party! It was so much fun!

Last weekend Jacky took us to a famous Budhist temple. It was really beautiful. It was very interesting to see all of the munks. We also went to a famous paper umbrella market. Then we went to a natural hot spring in the mountains. It was a really fun day!

This is David and I eating dinner. The place was so neat it was outside and then you have this little private tabel there was these sheer curtains all around it. It was beautiful.

David and I went to Taipei for a little Temple trip. It was a really fun couple of days. We stayed at a hotel across the street from the temple. It is called the Annex. They have a discount for couples that are coming to attend the temple, so we got to stay for a pretty good price. We also got to visit Jay, Vanessa & Tootsie. David got to visit with a boy he baptized.

David Baptized this boy on his mission. It was really fun to meet him. We went to dinner with him. He really wanted to eat at Burger King. So that is where we went. He loves burgers.
